He smiled a little bit as Sinner made himself comfortable, stretching his legs and wiggling his hips and reclining more. When those eyes opened, Liege met his gaze with a soft one of his own, somewhat touched that Sinner had even thought to ask about Liege’s day.
“I fair —…” he murmured, hesitating, “I fair….well enough.” He offered a halfhearted smile, the expression weak as he continued to gently rub Sinner’s temples. “The weight of my kingdoms is heavier than usual, lately.”
That earned his companion a different look, once of mild concern to tug at the corner of his mouth in a slight grimace. 'How fairs the state of thy kingdoms?’ Sinner queried gently, gaze flittering over the meek expression of Liege’s.
